Have you ever said How did my babies grow so fast lol ???
I always say this BUT !!! yesterday while wtering my window plants, they are all wicked in little cute containers I put a couple inches of water in..fill when empty. Not long ago I put a baby of " The Martin" from Mom in a 2" rd pot. It was wicked and in a cute little tea pot growing in natural light. Now " The Martin" blooms non-stop if you give it some light it will go craxy. I lifted it out of the tea pot and it was stoned dry and wow roots were coming out of the bottom 4 holes and the fith hole in the middle with the wick had roots growing twisted around the wick. lol I never had this happen just seemed like it grew over night. It is about 9--10 inches across abd just a blooming crazy struting it's stuff :)) .
It was root bound but they were white and healthy I had to put that baby from a 2" pot to a 4" pot ! This does not happen often . Most the time I go up slow 2", to 2.25 or 2.50, then 3 " then 4 " .Just this baby jut took tght off. Surprised me !!! Though most time it woulf have gone to the next step pot it's roots system was so healthy and loy's of it , it had to go into the 4" poy. Being a large growing plant if it keeps it up this pot will be full in no time.

I have a double pale mauve noid that is a constant struggle to keep up with - every time I turn around, it is popping 2-3-4 babies around the mama plant, and I have to seperate them, so they don't choke to death in one pot - I've given this one to all my friends, etc, and have one right now that was a baby, which is the same size as the mama plant and starting a baby of its own!

It's like a science fiction plant...none of the rest of them grow like this, and I've never started leaves for anyone, because I always have babies to use.
Can I interest anyone in this monster in the spring?
It's very floriferous, too...

Allison, I have a strep growing babies right now that you might like, too, its a noid, but lovely - got it in a trade from my friendly librarian!
It's about 2", and a lovely pale purple with darker purple stripes on the throat - lots of flowers - beautiful!
Spring is going to be lots of fun!

do you have sunshine at least, we're in monsoon season.

We are cloudy looks like rain. It's been low 40's night and low to high 60's day. I love it but have to keep my plants warm :))
