The sale at Brent & Becky's just got better!
They posted the 50% off at midnight.... I stayed up late shopping! :-)
They're got some lovely Amaryllis, and I don't think I've seen more daffodil varieties anywhere -- and these are only the ones that are still in stock, LOL!
I limited myself to additional bulbs for one side bed, partly I confess so I could bring my total "bulbs planted" this fall to 1000. I was tempted by many more, but I'll do well to get these in before the ground becomes "hard as iron." I also ordered 14 Amaryllis bulbs (most for gifts) plus some paperwhites for forcing! Even with shipping (10% east of the Mississippi, more for other areas), wow, what a deal!
Here's the link -- have fun!!!

Like the above, the posting by you galvanized me into immediately researching their site for availibility and subsequent order placement. I just want to say thanks.
And, a tip of the hat to you for attaining the 1000 mark in but one season.
J
I got to 1000 last year, also.... but most of what I've been putting in are smaller bulbs (species tulips, crocus, hyacinths), planted in clumps in existing beds, so it's not nearly the effort that 1000 naturalized daffs would represent (although there are a few of those too). Most of what I put in are also good multipliers & naturalizers, so I cannot wait to see what happens over the next 5 or 10 years!
We've been here 4 years, and I've been having fun planning & planting our new yard!
Critter, I thought I had gone berserck for buying approx.100 of this and that bulbs. But 1,000! I would absolutely love to see your yard in spring.
Of course, this is only my 2nd season of having discovered bulbs. Nothing like planting, forgetting about it and then being thrilled beyond words by plants you had forgotten about. Well, that's my take on it anyway.
I've started buying the little bulbs 50 or 100 at a time once I realized that 100 crocus bulbs only "do" about 8 or 10 linear feet of border, even if you space them out pretty well. Planting goes pretty quickly, too. If I'm putting bulbs in along a walkway, for example, I just dig a trench that's 6 to 8 inches wide, then place all the bulbs and fill the soil back in. 10 feet along my front walk that I did like this took 75 fall blooming saffron crocus, 60 species tulips and 40 miniature daffs, and a similar stretch of walkway border along the side took 75 species tulips and 100 spring crocus. It'll fill in over the years, but it'll probably look sparse the first year or two.
Okay, so I looked and then of course, I bought!!! I tried to look away from the link, but it drew me in. Man, they have some really great stuff and with the discount, just couldn't pass it up. I started looking at bloom times to rationalize how I could buy all that stuff for the same beds, but then I just quickly entered the info and pushed the order button before I could change my mind.
Their shipping is extremely reasonable too as compared to alot of online sellers.
Thanks for letting us know about this, I think....
You know I had to check out your link and of course I put in my order last night! When the bulbs arrive, I'll just have to tell my DH that Jill made me buy them!!! :~)
You garden will NOT look sparse if you have 50 or 100 bulbs planted of each variety. It will look positively gorgeous.....immediately upon blooming!
Thanks for the tip. I bought way too many bulbs. I'll have a blast!
Sucked me in too. LOL
