do you have a botanical name for it?

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

i think it was sorta related to the old fashioned vining type one. it had the same colors and everything but wasnt very vining. it was a dense bush type one.

This one is in french but says that the white Petunia axillaris is an erected annual with strong fragrance.

Good luck

Good links, zrcanat. I've grown Petunia axillaris ‘Rainmaster’ before. I bought the seeds from Select, I believe, but I don't see them on the online catalog this year.

Is it worth the try? Does it smells great?

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

As I recall, I bought them because they were supposed to hold up well in rainy weather. I don't recall them being especially fragrant. As I recall, the Balcony or Old Fashioned Climbing did. As a matter of fact, it has been my experience that collected petunia seeds tend to be more fragrant. Perhaps they are reverting to their original parents. Hybridizing usually breeds out scent. I have some 2nd generation blue petunias that smell wonderful.
