Hi everyone,
I was invited to Susan (Nightbloomer 54) home today. My DH and I had a wonderful time there. She gave me a tour of her garden and greenhouse. Wow!!!!! The greenhouse is to kill for. LOL Susan husband Dave did a fantastic job building it. It the perfect spot for all of Susan's beautiful Hoyas. She gave me cuttings and plants, and allot of valuable information concerning Hoyas. I just loved her sweetie doggies too. We had a blast of a time there. Thank you so very much Susan for your generosity and patience in teaching me about Hoyas. You are always welcome to come to my home. :0)

Visiting Nightbloomer54
I agree!! Susan is wonderful...and so is David, although I have only talked to him on the phone!!
Carol
Carol,
She told me of the wonderful time she had with you in Hawaii. She speaks very highly of you too. :0)
Patti
I just love having new friends! I knew Patti lived close to me but she wasn't a hoya person. So then she posts a few comments and I swoop in for the kill. Patti is just a hoya addict in waiting.
It was a very fun visit on a warm and windy Texas winter day.
You and Doug are quite welcome! It was a pleasure.
Photos to follow!

Patti,
I bet you and Susan had a great time today. She has some beautiful hoyas and so generously shares them with others.
Shirley
Hi Shirley,
It is so nice to see you here. :0)
I had a great time with Susan . She is a very sweet lady. I hope you get the pleasure of meeting her someday.
Patti
Shirley, so happy to see that you are out there! Hope your hoya collection is doing well and everything is growing. I was wondering where you've been!
Now where is jdee? She seems to have dropped off the hoya forum too!
Couldn't end the day without taking care of the cool plants Patti brought to me. I now have some new epi cuttings, a bromeliad and an interesting one Patti thinks is a pineapple of some sort.
Thanks Patti!
Susan
Hello Susan,
I'm still alive and kicking! It's great when people can meet as you and Patti did today. Thanks for sharing some pictures. You have a lovely tropicalesque outdoor setting.
My hoyas are hanging in there. I worry about them too much, almost as much as a mother worries about a newborn child. Most of my hoyas are 'newborns' in the respect that this will be their first winter with me. My plant room does not have its own heat source and the temperature in it has dropped into the mid 30's a few times when the outside temperature falls below zero. Maintaining a harmonious balance between room temperature, soil moisture, and humidity is a challenge.

Wonderful mood there in Texas....wish I were there!
Susan...your backyard is beautiful. Lots of lush shade and plant places. It looks very serine and peaceful there. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
There is nothing like a good "hoya friend". :-)
Marcy
Looks like a wonderful place to sit and talk plants, Susan! And I see your Horticulture Encyclopedia open and can only imagine what new jewel of a plant you guys were talking about!
I am sure after visiting your greenhouse, Patti has the Hoya hook in her mouth!
Thanks for sharing your good times with us!
I wished you could have been there too Carol. We had a great time. Yep, Susan worked her magic and has me hooked on Hoyas. I have allot to learn.
Patti
Susan: your backyard is awesome! So lush and green and full of growing things. =0) How nice that the two of you could meet and talk hoyas!
Thanks everyone! It was a beautiflul day and a fun visit!
