Baby Blooms...

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Thouht you might like to see a few pics of who is blooming at my house...
My new light set up is wonderful!

Some the flash is turned down a bit so it doesn't blast the bloom & wash it out, so excuse the quality of my photo .

1st pic Rebel's Rosebud....

Thanks, I really love Rebels' Rosebud it is a easy shaper & bloomer.
I'm really beginning to see the effects of adding the new light stand and and really enjoying all the blooms & buds setting.

I hope to have more pics ready to share soon.

Nana the lights and stand have made a huge difference in my violets. It was pricey putting it all together but the rewards are well worth it.
Now I just need to find the right amount of time for them to be on and the right distance, too. Poor lil
"Bob Serbin" got toasted and now I wil have to strip leaves & pot it back down to recover.:( Oh well live & learn:)

Sorry to hear about Bob. I have 4 plantlets that appeared about 3 weeks ago from him. If you loose yours, I will be happy to send you a replacement.

What kind of lights are you using ? I've never brned any leaves on my light stands ? I use the 4 ft. gro-light high spectrum 32 watt. They don't get hot ?
Now long time ago I had a big tray just on the kitchen coubter not even in the window and we were out not home to pull the shade down for the hot afternoon sun and just five minutes burned some leaves.

All the violets from our trade are doing great and the lessons on crown cuttings has really paid off on several of my trailers.I even have better variegation on some sicne I did the cuttings.:)
