CLOSED: Have Daylily 'Lavender Beauty' for trade

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

This one is called 'Lavender Beauty' but I'd say it leans more to the maroon side of 'lavender'. Yellow throat. I just dug up three BIG clumps. I could use some advise on how to divide these so that I can hopefully fulfill any and all requests for clumps.
Thanks for any advise.

Looking for Begonias, philos, hoya, adenium or other tropicals. Thanks.
Lali

p.s. I'll add a photo of the clumps asap. Gotta get back out to the garden while we have sunshine.

Hi Begoniacrazii, welcome to DG - nice ta meetcha.

The easiest way to divide daylilies that I have found is to put them in a spackling bucket or galvanized wash tub full of water. After awhile, the roots will just float apart with gentle tugging. You will get more divisions this way with less huffpuffing than charging at the dirtball with various metallic implements.

As a propagating device, I think galvanized wash tubs are worth their weight in gold - great for cleaning and sterilizing pots, too.
