I may have posted this here awhile back, but I can't find it SO......

I want to install the hard drive from my old computer into my newer computer. My former employers IT person told me the capacitors were shot in the old computer but my hard drive should still be OK.

My old computer was a compaq presario 4550 (about 8 yrs old), my newer computer is a compaq SR1215CL (about a year old).

Is there an easy way to walk me through this...being very computer illiterate?
