*disinfectant *sanitizer *deodorizer *fungicide *algaecide *virucide - also used for root rot, and MANY other uses.
There was talk of the above captioned in a recent thread. I was amazed to find that I have a gallon of this stuff (cost about thirty bucks, at the pool supply store), purchased for the cement pond, that has never been opened. If any of you have used it, please post how, what, when, where, why, along with recipes and any other helpful instructions. Last year I nearly set off a nuclear blast, by mismanaging chemicals, so, before I try this one that 'promises the moon', I'd like to hear from others as to how it should be mixed and properly used. Thanks!!!
Physan 20...
I've used it to spray down the inside of my little greenhouse. Worked great. I also use it to stop growth on top of the soil by spraying it just on the top. I use it to clean tools and have used it to rince out used pots, but it takes a lot of it for that job so I think Clorox might be much cheaper.
Sherry....I use it to clean mold off anything!!!! It works really well and isn't toxic like Clorox...I do use clorox for my pots. I had a lot of mold inside and outside my old greenhouse and I sprayed Physan on it, scrubbed it and rinsed off....and it didn't fry my mucus membrane!!!
I use about 1-2 T. per gal of water.
I'm going to spray my aunt's houseplants with this stuff today, they have mildew or mold on the soil of her potted plants - will it hurt the leaves and how much should I use??? I guess I can try it and go from there, I just don't want to kill them......looks like I'm going to have to read the book, lol, last resort, ya know...
