I'm going to call her "Compost Pile Starter" The other name I had in mind was "Three years and $200 in fertilizer, and this is all I get?" I guess that one would be too long. LOL Or maybe it should be "Say Goodnight, Gracie"
Can't keep her around because I don't want accidental breedings with anything not worthy.
I'm naming this one. LOL
Boy, you are tough! LOL. I don't think she is that bad, Mary!
Gosh mpabbot1 look at those dendrils shame on you
LOL Doris ..... just call me Mean Mary!
Seriously though ... her foliage isn't special, color is blah, and there's hundreds with better tendrils and bigger better blooms. I asked a friend if she wanted her because she's further than a bee's flight away from me. She's saved from the compost pile only because this person I'm giving her to wouldn't even dream of harvesting a seed pod.
She's EP X Dr. D. from a seed bank about 3 years ago.
Sometimes making that decision is the hardest part of growing Brugs!!
I agree with Shirley1 that it is very hard at times to cull seedlings but it must be done.
Serious hybridizers keep only the very best hybridize with.
You made a wise decision Mary. Keep up the good work.
You've got some great genes to work with next year. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
OH Mary!!
CPS sounds like a good name. Much better than confessing you spent $200- on her in growth hormones!! LOL
Your such a Hoot Mean Mary.
It must be done. I now envision Mean Mary walking through her Brug Garden making threats of turning all her little UnPretties into ComPost Pile Starter!!! LOL
Mean Mary! What a catchy name. LOL Though I really like the name "Say Goodnight, Gracie." I just loved that show. I haven't seen it in ages, I guess they do not do reruns of it anymore. Mary, if you named your ugly that, I would have to beg a cutting!
You made today's forum photo!! :o)
Hee- Hee , Mary you are a hoot !
mary, your thread inspired me to read on "evaluating seedlings" - - - i'm on it.
thanks.
