Honey I shrunk the brugs

If I hadn't already seen this EP bloom earlier in the year I'd be pulling her up by the roots and tossing her. It was a much bigger bloom and more vibrant color last summer.

EP is never pretty here at my house, Mary! I wonder if I am just too cool for her. I do not even like the shape. I keep her because I think her genes will give a good pink color which is comical because here she is always a pale, pale pink.

My Blush did that this year late in the summer. The blooms got small and the color wasn't as vibrant as earlier this year of previous years. I think maybe the lack of rain around here was the culprit but I didn' t notice it as bad with the other brugs.

Mary, I know what you Mean about the colorless EP this time of year. Before I brought mine indoors it had quite a few blooms with little to no color and they were mini blooms also.
What I really like about EP is when it puts on a flush you can have so many blooms and different colors. I have had people swear I had two different type of brugs in one container before.

Have that one on my wishlist ,I think I would like different colors/hues in one brug ...adds interest in my opinion.

Is it maybe that the smaller varieties bloom much more abundantly than the larger ones ? i.e.clematis ?

Does EP stand for everlasting pink? Dan

Hi Mary!! My Monster has a crop of mostly small blooms. We are waiting for Gulliver to arrive in Lilliput lol! They are not oranging up as they do in warm weather. Butterfly seems darker in the cooler weather though.

Dan, I bumped up the Abbreviation List.
EP=Ecuador Pink

Thanks Kin, but where is everlasting pink? maybe a new one, just not added yet, my everlasting pink is a smaller pink flower that is really prolific, large flushes and slight fragrance. I will be growing again this year. It is one I bought from a reputable grower, so I feel comfortable about it being what she said. No pictures or i would post

Brigitte, I have never posted a link yet, how would one do that? there is one for everlasting pink if I can find it. I have read "other " post.

Pretty picture, Mary. We have nothing left here, but brown grass, dead plants, and lots of fallen leaves. I love your picture.
