Shopping at Violet Gallery and trading

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I thought I'd start a new thread :)) Shopping at Violet Gallery and trading :))

Oh and yes very important ; >>>> was just going to say Nanna wants Smitten Kitten. . I don't really think it's leaves look like girl leaves to me ? But she sure is pretty ! Your's are beautiful !
I was surprised when I ordered 14 plants and 6 sets of leaves from Violet Gallery they only charged me $ 11.00 for shipping. They did not use insulation which I was surprised but everything was in perfect condition. When I pack always cost me more . They had not one broken leaf. I don't mind the broken leaves I take plants apart to put down leaves and share leaves as I enjoy growing by leaf. I fount buying the plant is cheaper in the long run than buying just a leaf. Many vendors are charging $ 1.75-2.00 for one leaf. Russian leaves cost $ 4.75 from Bluebird grenhouses. One leaf it was small did not make it so I ordered the Russian plants for $ 9.95 and got more for my money and shared leaves.
When I ordered last time with Violet Gallery some I wanted they were out of, plus they will have new ones. That is why I am putting my order in in January as soon as their new book comes out. This way they will hold mine as orders come first come first serve ! And then they ship when it's warm Aprinl/May I think ? As a lot of their good ones sell out fast :)) . But you may find some there for me that they don't have on line !
But I have a lot of babies so I have to give a lot of them away to make room. lol I saw a plant stand on line I like. It's a small greenhouse type like the few I have just more money and made better ( I hope) and has and comes with grow lights :)) My little ones 3 shelves with double zip cover I paid $ 13.95 each and had them for few years their still great and good for isolation. But this new one is like it but stronger on wheel and comes with 4 light fixtures each having 2 grow lights. It's on my wish list and would be great for leaves and babies , growing Strep babies...
Here is a picture of my Chirita Sinensis Hisako , Aussie Alice, and Chocolate Soldier in bloom. It was in a picture and I cropped it out. It was one of the many hour shots taking of me, one of my favorite CNA's, my Precious , working on plants . The Phtot shoot is for the Hospice Calender coming out In december :)) . Gosh two weeks after he took pictures I had 4 times more plants blooming. He did take some close up blooms. This is just one of five pictures they emailed me and I am hoping to get a CD disk of all the photo's he took even the ones their not using. .I have two throw away camera's I need to get developed of blooms ( I hope they come out) :))

Ok One more lol I cropped this one. I cropped my fat butt out lol but also cut the blooming pictures in front out. But I have a feeling the whole picture will be in the calender. It's hard as before I got sick I was thin about size 2-3 wore suits had a good career and now I can't walk .
Oh I forgot on the left is Tammi ( she is holding my dog and my dog is kissing me) one of my favorite Hospice CNA's :)) The Calender was her idea !
I'll never get use to this. Allison

Wonderful pictures! What a fabulous smile!! And Precious certainly is just that!

I know what you mean about size changes.... During the time when I was dealing with CFIDS (chronic fatigue syndrome), I gradually went from a size 8 to an XL despite fairly strict diet considerations. Now that the CFIDS is (thankfully!!) mostly in remission, I'm taking the weight back off, but that's an even more gradual process! With everything else I was dealing with (including limited mobility), you'd think that weight would be the least of my concerns, and in some ways that's true.... but then you look in the mirror, and you just don't look like you to yourself.

I just mentioned in the other thread..... Dana has dibs on my one plantlet, but I just put down a couple more leaves of 'Smitten Kitten', and Nanna has first dibs on the next one!
