Anthurium laxurians

Louisville, KY

This was at the aroid show. Grown by Dennis at silver krome this plant looked amazing. I was a asked to judge the plants along with a few others and this one got a blue ribbon at the aroid show.

That is absolutely gorgeous! I got my first anthurium recently and from the looks of that one... I need it to keep mine company. It needs another of it's kind while I am away at work.
Brian - do you have that one?

Wow! I agree with that. I only have one, too, and it must be lonely, as well. The rich and complex texture on the foliage reminds me of hammered copperwork that has aged. So now that you've enlightened and tempted several of this forum's members, where might some of us obtain one of these beauties?

That one's fabulous!
I'm betting it needs a lot of humidity?

The blooms are probably an 'afterthought' with foliage like that....but I'm curious.... what color are they?

I should have some in the spring small ones. The blooms are not great just a green flower with spadix. It does need some humidity but is not that much different than the regular forms.

That is awesome! It reminds me of a pepperomia.
