EP sure can leave its mark. LOL. So pretty Shirley. And it is very dark for November! Trace would love it! I will send her a picture if you haven't yet, if that is OK with you!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

This one is taken in the daytime, so you can see the difference.

How long has it been in your sunroom? It sure loves it in there. I need a sunroom. Crystal has one too. So does Doris. Poor me. LOL

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

That's fine with me, Kell. You can send her a picture.

I think this one is a darker pink than PB x EP, #1. Here is a picture of Brug #1 for comparison (taken outdoors). What do you think?

I agree, No. 2 is darker. But I think you really need to wait till it is hot and humid to truly evaluate the color. There are so many nice pinks now. Don't you just love them??

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I brought all my Brugs in at the beginning of November, so its been about 3 weeks. My sunroom can get VERY hot during the day. It's not uncommon for the temps to climb into the high 80's. It's got floor to ceiling windows, plus skylights. I run a humidifer 24hrs a day and a ceiling fan to keep the air circulating. It can feel like a sauna in there!

Sheesh Kell! If I lived in California, I wouldn't need a sunroom....I could keep my Brugs outside year round!!!

I agree that PB x EP, #2 is darker! Ya Hoo!! I'll definitely watch this one carefully next Summer!

Here's another view of PB x EP, #1 outdoors.

That sure is a special a special pic Shirley!!

Oh that is more true of Annapet and the zone 10 people. I can get a good frost still. Though it is so warm this November, we are still in the 70's. I have buds galore.

Your sunroom sounds great! You can play Hawaiian music and make believe you are on the beach doing the hula.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Kell!

If you get a good frost, do you bring all your Brugs indoors, greenhouse, or use a bubbler?

I like the idea of playing Hawaiian music on a make believe beach, but doing the hula in one of those grass skirts....no way!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey , you would get so skinny doing the hula! Get a 6 pack for sure. LOL

I put my favorite ones in a hoophouse My DH makes for me each winter. I put cuttings of my most favorite ones in my dining room. The rest must fend for themselves outdoors. If I know a frost is coming, I cover everything with sheets, at least all I can reach!

I am not into bubbling yet, but each thread on it sure makes it sound so intriguing!! I usually root in soil.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice blooms Shirley. I wish I had a 'great room' with lots of light for my brugs. I would need some ten foot ceilings for some of them, had I not whacked them off or just tossed them because of not having the room now.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

You may be onto a new form of excerise, Kell. Widdle away the pounds with the Hula! Excercising Hawaiian style! Your DH is a keeper for sure...making you a hoophouse each Winter for some for your "special" Brugs!!

Thanks so much, Brugie! Yes, my sunroon has a very high catherdral type ceiling. None of mine have reached the top....yet! However, they are getting closer all the time!

Besides the color saturation in Brug #2, I noticed that the pinkish color extends up the corolla tube, unlike Brug #1, which is another very nice attribute!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Definitely, tube color is a big plus! Don't forget to post these next summer! I want to see if they color up more. Though they are pretty just as they are.

Corte Madera, CA

ah, pendant pink blooms =)....someday for me.

shirley, they are beautiful. the more i see brugs, the more i want to grow more of them. what a blessing that i'm in 10a.

still, a sunroom would be nice.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I will definitely post these next Summer, so we can all see if the color darkens up or if any other changes occur! I am loving them in my sunroom! Their fragrance is so intense at night!! I just go in there to take a couple of deep sniffs!!! :~)

Moonglow, you will grow pendant pink blooms one day. Not to worry!! You are extremely lucky to live in a climate where you can grow them outdoors year round! I envy that!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Really, by next summer you will have too many pink pendant blooms. I promise. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Shirley, Tracey LOVES it!! She would love to have a cutting if that would be OK with you next spring.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Great looking blooms, Shirley.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Thanks for giving me feedback. So happy to hear that Tracey loves it! I'll be more than happy to give her a cutting next year!!

Thanks also, Ada!

Great looking blooms, Shirley. My Pink Beauty had some seed pods a couple of years ago, and I sowed some seeds but gave most of them away. My Pink Beauty is right next to Ecuador Pink so I bet it is the same cross that you have, but it could have crossed with anything. I currently have two of them. Here's one:

Here's the other. I think yours are darker.

I like how the blooms hang straight down whereas PB blooms are often more horizontal.

Great Shirley, I will tell her.

Clare, sure looks like X EP to me!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Yours are beautiful, Clare!! Hope you are enjoying their fragrance as much as I do!!

Thanks for all your help, Kell.
