It does grow in Zone 10 but it doesn't like humidity--Leucospermums are originally from South Africa where it's dry in the summer, so while it would do fine in Zone 10 in California I'm not sure it would like Zone 10 in Florida.

I thought not.....DERN......we can have 100% like nothing at all. It's the norm in summer...lol I have a perpetual greenhouse..

It doesn't mind some winter rain, so if you're willing to treat it as an annual you could buy one now, enjoy its blooms in the spring, and then toss it if the humidity destroys it in the summertime!

I got mine last spring from Sierra Azul Nursery down in Watsonville (halfway between Gilroy and Santa Cruz)--they have a great selection of Australian/S. African plants. I'm keeping it in a pot because most of my garden is clay and I think it likes better drainage (I've had bad luck with other members of the Protea family, but I've managed to keep this one alive somehow!)
