Does someone know how to package hardy water lilies for

Shipment. I have a friend in another state that I am sending one to. I put it in a zip lock baggie, but do you add peat moss that is dampened or do you just put in the bare root and ship it? Thanks

I've packed mine in slightly dampened peat moss or wrapped them in moistened newspaper.

I usually send mine bare root..with the roots wrapped in wet newspaper, the upper parts in damp newspaper and the whole thing in a loosely tied plastic bag. :)
