It's a lovely day today........................

It's a lovely day today
So whatever you've got to do
You've got a lovely day to do it in, that's true

And i hope whatever you've got to do
Is something that can be done by two
For i'd really like to stay

It's a lovely day today
And whatever you've got to do
I'd be so happy to be doing it with you

But if you've got something that must be done
And it can only be done by one
There is nothing more to say
Except it's a lovely day for saying
It's a lovely day

Just thought about this old Irving Berlin song because it really has been a lovely day here in Calgary. Warm and sunny and a perfect day to go out and do clean up in the garden. Especially all those branches that were pruned off the laurel leaf willow yesterday by the Chinook wind.(Sometimes its nice to have a self pruning tree, sometimes it isn't) And the first nice day in a long time that I have felt well enough to actually go out there and do things! (I had a bad cold and then pneumonia)

Hope you all had a nice day too!

Wonderful sunny warm (High 10 °C :) day here as well (would've been better if I wasn't at work however ;). Thank you for the golden oldie fancy it certainly has matched my mood today! Ü

edited to say glad to read your feeling better!

So sorry to hear you've been sick, fancyvan. Please look after yourself and get all better fast. We had a melting day here today too. The streets that didn't get plowed are sure a mess. Would have been better if I hadn't spent it in the city.

Thanks for the nostalgia.

Glad you are feeling better, fancyvan! I remember those lovely chinooks when I lived in Calgary....but I wasn't a gardener then! I'm sure it's pretty challenging at times with the fluctuating temps in the winter.

Fancyvan,
I, too, am glad that you're well again and were able to putter in your garden. Indeed it was a lovely Saturday here too! We helped mom rip down an old fire place and removed all the bricks to the outside.
Then at 2:30 I had an appt. to pick up 20 brug cuttings from a lovely lady in Port Hope. She was just giving them away for free and said if no one wanted them, they would end up in the dump. So here I am with brugs coming outta my wazooo! I'll baby them over winter and then share with whomever I can in May.
And finally, I had a chance to clean out my craft room and got 3 boxes of supplies ready to be donated.

So much accomplished today!

It was a good day in Ottawa too. But I could have told you that months ago. I had two Ottawa Symphony rehearsals for our concert tomorrow. I'm sure I can predict the nicest Sundays of the year by looking at my rehearsal schedule. LOL

And another wonderful day yesterday - temp of +20C broke the records for Nov. 22. Putting up Xmas lites in short sleeves!

Nice sentiments Carol, and glad to hear you're feeling better. You've had quite a run of it.
