I had one large plant of H. cominsii where the leaves looked all deformed...discolored. I adjusted and readjusted the fertilizer which didn't seem to work at all.... I tipped it out of the pot and inside the pot were a whole colony of ants!!! and root mealies and goodness knows what else. I sprinkled the roots with Sevin and put it back in the pot...tomorrow I will see if the ants are gone. Then an Imidocloprid drench will take care of the mealies. Hopefull y the problem is solved..... I have put GRANTS ANTS around the GH which has cut down on a lot of them already but these tiny little ants had been so happy in there, they didn't venture out.

Ailing hoya/cure I hope
Good luck, A whole jungle to hang out in, and they gotta get in your pots, darn them anyways.
Thanks Carol, that's one good reason for living in such a cold environment, no ants! I think I would rather have the ants!!
