Most beautiful crinums I grow!!

Louisville, KY

I got this one years ago from a friend out of brazil. I am not sure which species it is I have the name around here. It has large flowers they smell like bubble gum the peddles can hang almost 1ft and twist. The plant is about 5ft tall now.

That Crinum looks like Queen Emma. Does it have deep burgundy leaves?

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

think that's the milk and wine crinum and not the queen emma...as you state queen emma has the burgundy leaves....course can't see the leaves lol...my milk and wine have very long leaves....am still trying to figure out why the white crinums form the big seed pod and my milk and wine don;t..

Green leaves. But was pretty sure this was a species not a hybrid? Then again maybe not.

JB...I thought Milk and Wine had a trumpet flower (white) with subtle burgundy lines down the the middle of the corollas....it was sent to me as Centennial Lilly.

Milk in wine it is I will put a tag with the plant. Thanks for the ID I am not the best with these I manly look them up in Exotica. The variegated one also have white blooms. I have seen spotted forms also.

There is a trumpet commonly known as Milk & WIne around here. It is a very old passalong and there is a picture of it in Felder Rushing's book "Passalong Plants". You can frequently find them around old homesteads.

There is a Crinum with pink/red and white Spider Lily flowers such as yours knows as Princess Beatrice I believe. Yours is not Milk and Wine according to my sources.

Not what we call 'milk & wine'. What I've always known by that name is trumpet shape, white with a red stripe.

Whatever it is, it's gorgeous.

Brian,
I have a variegated crinum that came out of a crinum asiaticum....hoping (with fingers crossed) that it will eventually bloom. It's an absolute crisp, clean, pure white, with green. If it never blooms, the foliage will still make me a happy camper.
