Pumpkin or squash soup

Greetings,

I found an interesting pumpkin soup recipe. Unfortunately, it calls for cubes of uncooked pumpkin to be cooked in a chicken broth. My pumpkin is already cooked, puréed and frozen. Does anyone have any general guidelines as to the proportions of puréed pumpkin to broth if making such a soup?
