Looking for Mexican Bean Soup recipe

Last week we ate at a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix. As a side dish we were served a small bowl of a bean soup. I believe it was made with pinto beans. It wasn't too spicy - maybe a bit of cilantro. Any ideas?
