Van Engelen end of season sale

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

See their site for a list of sale items http://www.vanengelen.com/

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Huh! There's no online catalog... guess I have to search through my stack of paper catalogs & try to find one.

Can somebody please explain to me how their sale works? I don't see any indication on that list to tell me either the price or the percent off on an item. I assume that number before the catalog page number means number of bulbs in a package? How do I find prices? Help!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Well... dang! I thought I remembered seeing their catalog, but the only "van" I found in my stack was van Bourgondien. This must be the only bulb company that doesn't (yet) have me on their mailing list! I guess that means I have to wait for next year's sale.... just as well, as I'm still quite behind on things here!

Oh! DUH! It turns out that "Flower Bulb Index" on their web site means "online catalog!"

I'm still not sure how to figure out the sale pricing.... maybe I'll find that info next and have another "moment!"

Yep... just found it...

"End-of-Season Specials are priced 20% off published catalog prices."

hey critter.....
here's the list. Prices are the sale prices.

you can also call, the number is at the top. Sometimes the computer doesn't have everything listed, for example they might have only a few of something and the customer service person will know what the computer does not. They are always really nice....and patient

happy shopping.

LOL well, you must have gotten up and to the bulb sale list before me! Many of the sale bulbs seem to be sold our already!

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

I was online last night when my notice of the sale came in. I think it was around 2:00 a.m. EST. I immediately went, to place an order, and right while I was in the middle of it, it quit working. I figured they got slammed by people trying to do orders. I just was able to place one, and though it allowed me to put 'Italia' Asiatic Lilies in my cart, when I went back to that page where it shows them, it was sold out. So I might have gotten the last five of those. I wanted those, because mine that I planted last year from Breck's never came up and they don't carry those anymore and they substituted an orange one. :-(

Everything I wanted was in stock.

Like I need more bulbs...

Did you call them? There were several things that I got, that had shown up as out of stock.

LOL no, I didn't call them. when the screen showed 'out of stock' I thought it was my guardian angel telling me to quit buying bulbs while I was still in good graces with my DH!!

I continue to be tempted to buy, but I work off my frustrations by raking and pruning. Not the same, but.....keeps me 'on budget'.!

And I'm subconsciously holding out for the Brent & Becky sale!

Oh no................another sale?????????????? I'm doomed.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

ROTFL!!!

I keep telling myself, first I must plant everything I already have! That stops me.... sometimes.... ;-)

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

I don't have that to stop me. Try again.
