Found this on the Kim Komando web site - looks like we can help those in need as well as ourselves. Check it out!

I checked out the site and I dont see how they concidder the plants free???,, You pay 6.00 for shipping(plants) So actually you are paying 3.00+ for the plant and 3.00+ for shipping. So you actually are paying for the plants.. Nothing against you Semesterke, But I feel this id kinda like a ripoff, Please dont take this the wrong way.. There are all kinds of people out there that would love to swoop you in and take your money. Please be carefull with adds like this . : ) I have put myself in these perdicaments and have paid the price.

Nothing taken the wrong way. When you send postage for "free" plants or seeds on this DG website you are paying for postage or the plant? Looks about the same thing as I view it. As for checking out the site I refer you to http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/3403/
Even on the one negative reply found at the about link, the company sent a refund.

As always be careful and make your own decision based on what you believe.

I think they do make some money on the sale. They are package by disabled workers, so it's a job for those people. Most mail order catalogs have a minimum of $6.95 shipping for a plant.

$6.95 for shipping and 2 plants?! That's a great deal!

This same thread also appears here, http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/556955/ in the plant trading forum.
