About sending cuttings............

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

I have always sent fresh cuttings wrapped in damp paper towels. Is it really necessary or would they do ok dry and then recut at their destination? Take a marker and write up at the top?! Lol

I have heard and I think I have received brugs a long time ago from the hard wood sent like that. I see no reason why not. I have let a brug sucker of all hard wood sit out of water for days and then discover it and cut off the end, let it have a long drink, pot it up and it works fine.

If you do it, please let us know how it does.

I will keep some cuttings aside for a week and see if they still root. I had seen people rooting cuttings sideways, so it made sense that cuttings that had only been dry a couple of days would still root successfully.

I will run the experiment and let everyone know. Thanks kell.
