My wife planted some brugs this year for the first time. Our first freeze is predicted this week and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to go about cutting them or whatever you do to save them or cuttings.
I realize its late to be trying to get info, but we have a farm and since it's just the two of us, I don't get time I wish I had to spend on DG.
With our greenhouse and everything else we're trying to get ready for our first cold, if anyone has any suggestions or tips we would appreciate it.
Also, here's a picture of her first try, it's still got that many blooms on it now.
Help before the freeze
I'm going to leave the tips to the pros here, Chilihead, but I just wanted to give you a big "Howdy, Neighbor"! That is a gorgeous Brug you have pictured.
I have Insignis Pink and a yellow similar to yours but will be receiving cuttings from some of the generous people here. I would be glad to share with you if you would like.

Hi Chilihead. You can dig the plant up and pot it. Then bring it in and put it some where cool so it goes dormant. Only water a little monthly to keep the root ball from drying out. Search the brug forum under probably the word dormant and you will read up on different ways people do it.
And at the same time, trim her back to compensate for the root loss. With those cuttings, pot some up and keep them inside growing just in case your big plant does not make it.
Good luck!
Great looking brug there!
beautiful brug! best of luck.
