Hi Debbie,

I'm waving at you from wayyyyy out west here in Payette Idaho where western Idaho meets eastern Oregon with a river between us.

I know you will love it here and hope you become as addicted to DG as many of us are. I don't post as much as I used to around here but I still love to look around at what is being said and done in many areas of our country and world too. DG members will keep you laughing and loving and wanting gardening and neat new plants too.

Hope you come often and stay late.

Thank you for such a warm welcome. Maria was too kind in her commentary on my gardens. It seems I am always busy moving things around - and my gardens are hardly ever the same from year to year. It is an endless job trying to make room for expanding perennials - even though I share them with my gardening friends. I need to learn more about working with annuals, I think. I will try to post some photos as I get used to how to do this! I always love getting a tour of Maria's gardens, which look so lovely.

I am starting to think Maria has played a joke on us . Debbie come out and show yourself if you are real lol. Ernie

I am sorry - Maria has not played a joke on you. I am just very busy between working at a new job and now taking care of my mother who is moving from her home of 43 years into senior housing and recovering from a broken hip - so I haven't had the time to log on to Dave's Garden. Also winter here - so gardening is on back burner for a while. Maybe this spring you will see more of me. I look forward to when I will have more time to escape into my gardens - and then have plenty to write about. Hope you are all enjoying the holidays!

Well it sure is nice to know that you aren't a figment of Maria's imagination. lol We love Maria around here and know that a friend of hers will be a welcome addition to our "garden".

Once again welcome to DG.

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Hello Debbie, and welcome to Davesgarden. We are so glad to have a real live friend of Maria's join us here. I hope your mother's recovery from the broken hip and her adjustment to a new place goes well. Your photo is beautiful, and obviously you enjoy various shades of green. So restful.
