Hi,
I've been following/learning alot from reading ya'lls threads. I have a Charles Grimaldi that I planted last year . It has grown from 1 ' to 5 ft and is loaded with blooms. People keep stoping to ask what it is . I've done a few things wrong last year but thanks to ya'll won't be making those mistakes again. I'm setting up my first bubbler and need some cutting to try. I'll be most happy to take cuttings of mine for anyone if you tell me where to cut. I would love to try Black currant swirl, Frost pink, and my favorite is Rhapsody. Does anyone have cuttings they would be willing to send for postage? Are these too difficult for me to start with?

welcome, cindy!
Welcome Cindyy to the Brug Forum! Glad you are enjoying brugs. Black currant swirl is actually a datura and you are better off starting those by seed. I do not have Frosty but so many do! I think more people have that one than any other brug. Rhapsody is a brand new beautiful pink and I do not think many have it yet.

Welcome, Cindyy
Welcome Cindy
I am new to brugs also, but I do have an extra rooted frosty pink u can have for postage
Hi Brug forum - I'm new to this forum, also. I saw brugs while visiting in San Francisco, and about wrecked the car trying to check them out! I've just started with my first cuttings - Charles Grimaldi. I have 31 cuttings of it! I read that they can be started in a mix of perlite and potting soil, and placed on a heating mat - so that's what I've done. Does this sound right to you all? I've learned so much at DG - been mostly on the hoya forum. I've found that everyone here is so willing to share what they know, and I trust the information I get here. So, please critique my set up, as I really want these babies to grow! I have a heated greenhouse, so they will be spending their winters there, and will be planted in large containers for outside when the weather is nice. Thanks for your advice! Karen
Hi Karen! Good to see you here. 31 CG cuttings? Whoa, gal.. your yard is going to light up when those things bloom next year! I'm going to leave the evaluating to those with years more experience than I have with Brugs, but wanted to welcome you aboard.
Barb
Welcome Karen!! Sounds like you have the CG market cornered! LOL. They will love living with you in your GH. I hope they put on a great show in the warmer months.
Don't you just love San Francisco. I love driving around there. Did you get to go to the Conservatory of Flowers? It is my favorite place!!
Lots of people grow huge sang trees too. I found what I think may be an old pink vulcanicola there a few months ago.
Thanks Barb, Crystal and Kell! I'm excited to learn as much about brugs as I can! Crystal, I will keep an eye on the heat. And Kell, I didn't get to the conservatory, but I did go to the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden sale!! And I did love San Francisco! Thanks for the welcome, all! Karen
