I was reading the thread on Hydroponics and saw the following concoction posted by Twin Lakes Chef:
"I had trouble with spider mites too and finally learned to spray with water and add to it alcohol, Murphy's Oil Soap, and a little Neem oil. That solution covers spider mites, mealy bugs, aphids and any other overwintering pests. Periodic spraying with this solution, misting plants occasionally and running a humidifier has made my overwintering much more successful."
Does anyone know what the formula might be? If not, do you use anything similar? Thanks!

That formula from Twin Lakes Chef sounds like Ma Vie's. Go to her name and look at the theads she started or go to search and under her name put in murphy's soap. I bet you find a big discussion about it on several threads. Ma Vie swore by it. She rarely had any bugs.
