okay never heard of this one but does it seed??

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank, Donna. I really should post another picture of the whole thing...It is much prettier in mass, since the flowers are kinda small...

Imzadi-Yes, it does, but they are kinda like dandelion seeds...I've never tried germinating them before, so not sure how hard, or easy, they are.

The mexican flame vine makes similar seeds, and I've tried those seeds several times, with no luck...no clue why they won't germinate, but have found them to be invasive, so pretty glad they didn't sprout, afterall! lol...

i would love one but all my plants are dormant right now except the stupid brad ford pear which is blooming in 32 degree weather.

shoot my mexican flame vine wont bloom. may have to beat it some next season. maybe too much fertilizer. i let a piece touch the ground and wow it took off. so yea it can be invasive if you let it.

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, be careful and keep close watch on it...you are in the same zone as I am. I've not let mine touch the ground. It is not spreading by layering, ...it is spreading by underground runners! Ak!

I went to dig one in, that had been sitting in a pot. The roots looks JUST like camsis radicans and had fully made their way out of the bottom of the pot, and into the soil. I carefully dug in the soil to uncover the roots. They were scattered in all directions and already spreading up to 5 feet away! That pot had only been sitting there for a few months...

Campsis radicans has been the bane of my gardening mistakes! lol...and I certainly don't want to plant another invasive vine. Just wanted to warn you.

Seedpicker_TX, I had one of those vines and just loved it. Somehow it got into my neighbors yard (through a chain link fence) and he thought it was a weed and killed it. Could I trade with you for a start if you have any left? I can send a Blue Crown Passiflora if you'd like.

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

pins-
Which vine are your referring to? ...carolina aster vine, mex. flame, or campsis?
I had blue crown, and loved the flowers, but it is invasive, too. Popped up as far as 30 feet away!!!

Sorry - the carolina aster vine.

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got an extra carolina aster vine, but interested in something other than passiflora caerulea...

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

I have a rooted purple beauty berry, some brug cuttings, some Italian arum, Southern Shield ferns, white butterfly ginger, and September Charm anemone. I also have some yellow corydalis to share. Interested in any of those?

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

The september charm sounds wonderful. The aster vine I have rooted isn't all that big, though...would you like a few red spider lilies, too?

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Sure, I love red spider lilies and I don't have any. It's a trade! Is your address in the Exchange?

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

sending you mail
