This is an Tiara x RK seedling from my cross, grown by Brenda Delph, pictures are courtesy of her. We have had several white doubles from my Tiara crosses this year, but this is the first colored, first opening, has great tendrils.
I have a colored double
Oh, WOW, she is beautiful, is she fragrant?? With Tiara, I would think/hope that she would be. I posted about the cuttings you sent me on a thread Doris/kereoke started about bubblers. They are all rooted and potted up and doing great - Tiara x Susanne was the first/easiest to root, but they all had nubbies within hours of going into the bubbler. I'm 'afraid' they will grow so fast that I've put out the word at my office and the doc office next door that I might have to use some space for a bubbler or two, but your cuttings will stay right here with me for safekeeping. Thank you, yet again, for sending them...how are things going with your property?? Good luck with that and I hope your neighbors, friends and family are recovering too!!!!!!!
I'd reach up in there and pull that little bugger out LOL, do you think the next one will drop ok? it's a nice one Mary
kathy
Marylin, I had one of the seedlings of Kells do the same thing. It is a pretty apricot color, but the inner skirt didn't drop down. Now I have to for sure grow it out again next year to see what happens.
Mary with that color showing up high on the calyx like that I would think you are going to get a much darker pink.
It's going to be a beauty, Mary!

GREAT! I love doubles.
Congratulations!
Awwww ... what a pretty belly button!
It might never turn into a beautiful pink double like the ones we've seen from Europe but still it is a double pink made in the USA. A pink double that didn't come from a pink double. It's a great beginning! Congratulations Mary. Hope it matures to be a keeper.
CONGRATULATIONS :-)) what a beauty she is.Love the doubles and hopefully next year I will see one of my own,
Brigitte
LOL, it's not pink, its orange.
hmmmm .... I thought it looked orange but figured maybe it is my monitor. Oh well! There's always tomorrow! And this one still has promise. If it stays this way you could name it Navel Orange! That oughta confuse the hort world! ... hee!
I love orange, I love any color that likes hot/humid, fragrance is the icing on the cake!
LOL, Vicki. I just hope on subsequent blooms that we get more development of the inner skirt. The form is pretty on the outer skirt.
We needed more peach this year!
That's gorgeous, Mary. I love the long tendrils especially.
