Another Rooting Dilemna

Mt Zion, IL(Zone 5b)

I got this freebie with my Shoal Creek order ~~ it's labeled Hoya Kerrei "Hairy Clone". I've never had a cutting quite like this as it's almost like a TWIG off a tree: the stem is a semi-hard 'bark'.
Is the rooting process the same or different with this guy? I'm sortta stumped.
TIA

Betsy when I ordered my kerrii's from Shoals, I rooted them in perlite sitting on a heat mat, with a plant light over head. They rooted in about 2 weeks.

Betsy...you will not have any viable material in that bottom node as it is cut away. Did they promise a 2 node cutting? NOT!

You will do best by cutting about 2" below the node with the leaf and the peduncle and shoving it in your medium up to that leaf...with the leaf/peduncle/node about 1/4" into the mixture.

Awanda & Carol..
Thanks for the input. Carol, it was a 'freebie' that came with some succulents I ordered. I will definately cut it as you suggested and go from there. Thanks, guys!
