llamas

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

A few weeks ago, my Mother and I went to a cook-out at my cousins. His wife raises llamas and percheron horses. That morning, they had a crea (sp?) born. I learned that a crea is a baby llama.

Our cookout was down below the barn you see at the left - if you look close you can see people. They have a lake and a little shelter there. I walked up to take pictures of the little baby. Well, wouldn't you know, I took one shot - and then had a dead battery. This little baby's mama was named Pecan Fudge, and her daddy was named after another nut candy (I forget).... and they were having a devil of a time coming up with a name for a white nut candy. I told them about my Dad, who liked something called Divinity, which was made with walnuts, and was white and fluffy. They loved it.. so this little baby is now called Divinity.

The llama on the left, that you can just see it's nose... got up just after this shot was taken and started groaning and sort of growling at me - trotting very fast - with lips sort of bared.... I hustled right out of there, glad there was a fence between us!!!
