Kell the top one is indeed b. luxurians and the second one is not caroliniafolia, but mislabled and I believe it is b. thiemei. Check to see if the grower is monterey bay. They are mislabeling it.

I have the top one, my first DG trade, and after I got it, it just protested the journey in the mail. Dropped a lot of leaves, pouted, stomped it's feet and then I guess it decided to stop having a temper tantrum and has put on new growth. I dont think she likes the boron in our water and has some tip burn, but otherwise has reached the grand height of 8" not the 8' that they can get to.

Lali

It was from Monterey Bay but it is much coarser and hairier leaf than this one, Lali.

That looks like a Begonia a neighbor gave me a few years ago. She gave it to me first plants in a cute dish type no holes as she said it would be fun for me to watch grow. It was and the flower stalks pink flowers a beautiful ! Well when I plants it in the year it became hugh. It was so big and the flowers lasted a long time so many of them they covered the hugh leaves. The leaves white in pot were small , once in the ground 10-12 inches across each leaf and my plant had at least 75 or more of them. When we moved down the street we dug it up and took it. It bloomed this year and some died back. But there are a lot of new ones coming up and new plants and I am growing some in tubs also for the porch as they are so pretty . Here is a picture of mine when it was all in bloom.

I did some research on that one, I have it too (same grower) but I don't think it's b. caroliniafolia. I'm going to try and do some more research on it.
the differences i can see from my other labeled as caroliniafolia is this one has much more burgundy coloring in the leaves and stems.

I have both and have compared them side by side and they dont look alike.
