Autumn Color

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

The oak tree in my backyard is exhibiting bits of beautiful red leaves. The Texas Ashes aren't showing any color, as yet.

My Shumard Red Oaks are starting to get red leaves. I just LOVE it! My Chinese Pistache had a rough time this year tho. I wasn't aware that it wasn't getting enough water until it started to show signs of stress from the drought and losing our "deep moisture". It's still alive but isn't a beautiful red like a lot of others I've seen, but at least it has leaves.

I've been noticing everything this last week, especially the Bradford Pears. I don't like the tree but love that bright red!

Midway, TX(Zone 8b)

The leaves on our beautiful elm tree are turning a pretty yellow color. Our oaks are so pretty right now. One with tones of yellow, gold, orange, and reddish leaves. Our Tx. ash haven't begun to have colorful leaves yet either.

Texas trees do have some beautiful colors.
