Is this one going to be a pretty butterfly or an ugly one?? He has some pink so I was thinking maybe I should give him a reprieve.
To squish or not to squish???
He made a lace pattern out of your leaves!!! He's a hungry little muncher! However, I wouldn't have the heart to squish him though!!!
Holy Cow!! With an appetite like that he would be an endangered species in my garden. I would relocate him first, then if he returned to continue munching on my Brugs, dum de dum dummmmmm...
Barb
I found one of those this morning too . He is no longer
I found one this morning. He was already frozen though. Dead Munchers, are the best kind. LOL
Well, of course he's pink, he's in a pink garden and it could be pink glare or he's eating a pink brug or he's eaten so much he's burst his little insides, yuckie...relocate him or before you know it, you are going to know him so well you'll have to house train him and keep him for a pet...
LOL Too funny, Sherry.
Ya know, Ada, i never thought I could love a spider, but those guys are wonderful, amazingly, to me anyway, I recently saw three of those spiders that aren't pretty, not too big, with big round ball kinda body, they were all on one plant, each one eating a cat that looked bigger than the spiders. I'm impressed and hope I can keep them happy even if it's not cat season - oh, oh, oh, I forget, it's ALWAYS cat season, whew!!
Sherry, the cats are bad in the fall. You're right about the spiders. I never kill one on any of my plants
I hate those little buggers, they do such damage. KILL HIM!!! LOL
kathy
i couldn't squish a cat either. but snails, bring them on. although my son saw me step on one, and he said, "no more killing, mima."
Someone posted some photos of snail in the US that were adorable, I want to think one of the boys on the list, maybe from CA...we have slugs, they are awful...and look worse...
That is one PigCat Kell.. They certainly have one huge appetite! I had some leaves that looked like that not so long ago.
Sherry yes those slugs are here also! Big surprise Huh!!! Oregon is such a breeding ground for them. LOL Those little guys are the ones you get up into the leaves and eat away all night long. Herds of them... Yulk
Here is a photo just for you. The little one is a cuttie
Ugh, that slug is disgusting! I lived in Mississippi for a couple years and saw slugs that were that size. The ones in Illinois are just "dimples" compared to yours.
I like Kell's cat - I've never seen a pink one before.
Puleeze, Kin, I do NOT want to like them and that reminds me of the pics of the precious ones I saw and, I'll swear I cannot believe they are so plentiful there, at least they are designer brands, and, shoot, that baby is cute, I cannot believe I said that. I'm so ashamed, escargot ranks right up there with raw oysters, a tie for 1st on my list, then, like Kell, sushi, then lamb, then all the veggies in the world...
Well I know the Butt uggly parsley caterpillars that are lime green striped do make pretty butterflies, but you have to stand looking at them first. Give me the willies they do. stuff of nightmares.
Good luck!
LOL You guys~ And ICK Kin. Double ICK! I have my own little herd of slugs and snails. They love me.
Let me know if you find out what kind of butterfly the pigcat will be, Kin.
Caraboof, yours sounds pretty! My new color is chartreuse. All my new pots are chartreuse!! Sherry will like them too, sounds designer to me! LOL
Oh Annapet, you boy sounds like he has such a sweet heart.
Hi Kell nice cat i wonder if they get a pschodelic feeling when there through eating bob
Does he/she have a horn. I was at my moms in Oklahoma and her Datura was full of the same looking worm with a horn and it was found to be the hummingbird moth.....makes sense they are all over her place at dusk....
Oh my Annapet, I have never seen such an ugly thing in my yard. THANK GOODNESS. What a creature. I guess I may never got to the Russian River! LOL. Do you rent a place there? What do you do there? Am I missing something good? I always hear about it in winter when it is flooding over.
Or put the cat in a jar, like we did when we were kids (did they have jars then???) with some nibblies and maybe he will make a cocoon and come out as a flutterby.
