I thought I would share some pics of my seedlings about to bloom. The inflo's all look relatively small, but I think that they will bloom if the weather cooperates. It's neat to see all the leaf shapes and colors on my seedlings. Some have elliptic leaves, while others are lanceolate and oblanceolate, and so far I've seen acute, acuminate, and emarginate tips. Some leaves are very wavy, and some are very straight. Some have really brown stems; and some are red, but most are green. Here are a few examples for you to see below. This is the fun part when you get to see the fruit of your labors for the past two years!

Seedlings at 23 Months
They look great Clare. I just put in 18 seeds last night. I am hoping in another 23 months I can share some pict's with you.
Kat
Thanks, Kat. I hope so too, and I look forward to seeing yours bloom;-)
Clare, those are healthy looking plants you have there. It is interesting to see how they come out. I already planted most of the seedlings (about 1 ft tall) into the ground last week. They're from the seeds that you sent me months ago. Thanks.
Kukiat
Hi Kukiat! That is great news! About how many would you guess that you have; in other words, what was the germination rate for you? I can send you some more in the spring and some cuttings too:-)
Clare, the germination rate was over 90% with the exception for the seeds from Hawaii. The germination for the Hawaiian seeds was a little over 50%.
Three Key West seedlings look very interesting. Two have very long and narrow leaves and one is likely dwarf.
Clare, Thanks for the offer. I will email you soon.
Very interesting, Kukiat! It will be fun to see what flowers they produce. I am sorry that the Hawaiian seeds did not give you a better germination rate. Those seeds are from Jim Little's cultivars.
