Hey, welcome back home to the warm Bay Area!! LOL!

Thanks Sue, I didn't see one Brug. while in Ireland. It might be a little too wet for them there. It rained all but one day the entire trip.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

it had to be beautiful there though.. nice pictures very lovely brugs.

WELCOME HOME PATRICIA!! Did you have the best time??

Well, you were gypped, Lady. LOL. Barb got some incredible ones from this cross of hers. One is a huge double dark orange.

My second from this cross is a pretty double white but this was pic was just as it opened the first day so I am hoping it is now orange and the skirt dropped. It is growing in the spoogy woogie plots so I haven't been back. LOL. I have a really nice double apricot one from the cross too. This white one shows suav.

Thanks for the welcome Kell, I had a great time. I was disappointed that most of the home's don't have much in the way of gardens, and I didn't see a single brug. but the countryside was gorgeous. It rained everyday so I guess people just don't spend alot of time outside gardening. I did see some very nice formal gardens, but they were mostly shrubs and tree's. The flowers that we plant in the spring, like sweet pea's were blooming there now.

I was so excited to see that most of my brugs. were still blooming when I got home. I find it so interesting that you can get so many different blooms from the same cross. I thought at the very least I might get a double white, I will just have to keep trying .

Well back, Patricia. I've always wanted to visit Ireland. Great pictures.

Thank you all. I can't believe how much I miss this forum when I am gone.
It was pitch dark when we got in last night, but I was outside with my flashlight checking out my brugs. Then it was inside and right to bed. My husband thought I was absoutely nuts. I am so tired today, I can hardly see straight, but I have checked the greenhouse and all my outside plants, and it doesn't appear I have lost anything. I had some new special brug. cuttings that had come in right before I left, that I was very worried about, but they look fine.

I was just out looking at these seedlings again, and too my surprise, seedling number three that bloomed out peach colored has another skirt up inside it.
Kell, do you want me to grow this one out again next year?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I thought I saw one in the picture peeking out! You do what you want to Patrica. They are yours now. If it weren't so late I would say dump it but you really can't tell now if it is decent and Barb and myself have gotten nice doubles from it. It is up to you. Also first blooming is not that reliable. I had a triple of Monika's that was weird the first few times and now is blooming OK. So you never know.

I will be having different (and hopefully better) double seeds coming sometime in the next few months. You may prefer those.

I also have a pod of Cream sickle X red that should be ripe soon.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Well, I think I will grow it and a couple of your other one's out another year to see what they do. But I would love to try some of your Creamsickle x red seeds when they get ripe. I just checked my seed pods that were on golden lady and they had dropped off. I still have one pod on my Knightii that I had crossed with Susanne, but it hasn't grown a bit, so I don't expect it to survive either. I have been saving pollen for spring.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh that is too bad. Were the GL pods new? I have tons of new ones forming, about an inch long and I am afraid I will lose them. Some are really hot ones too. As they get bigger they get harder to dislodge. Why did I have so many really nice brugs bloom so late? LOL I am freezing pollen too. I have tons. LOL And I am having an internal fight with myself to back off brugs a bit but I am still going strong with my obsessive behavior.

I have tons of seeds Patricia, I will try to get a list of their crosses and you can pick if you want. I know I had a few GL x Red too. I am still hoping for a real dark double from that one. GL throws doubles. I still haven't bagged any of them.

Welcome back, Patricia! I'm glad you're safe and sound. The pics of your brugs are very pretty.
Kell a GL x Red sounds interesting.
