Hello from NH

Weare, NH

I just joined today and it seems like such a great site! I live in rural area zoned 4-5. I haven't figured out the exact zone but try to stick with plants for zone 4. I live on 5 acreas but currently have about 2 that are cleared. I enjoy flower gardening mostly, although every year I still plant my hot peppers. I have begun to buy alot of roses the last few years and am having pretty good luck so far. This fall, I am redoing a spot under the big window to put in some shrubs, mostly evergreen. I was looking out the window this spring and decided that I didn't have but maybe 4-5 green things out there and everything looked barren. I am actually trying to learn more about different hardy shrubs that birds like so I can incorporate some of those. My husband passed away 3 years ago and I had planted a memorial garden (so I thought) but it never got finished because it just got bigger and bigger. This season I put in some new beds but only 2 are finished. I'll never keep up with them all but they sure take my mind off stuff and relax me. Just wish my kids had an interest. Where do I go here to ask about how to hand certain types of weeds?

Waving from south west KY! Welcome!

I'd try the Garden Talk Forum first. General gardening questions that don't actually have a specific home usually go there.

We have a Garden Foes Forum also, but it tends to lean on the critter side of the subject.

Hope you enjoy yourself here...it can get addicting.

Welcome, I'm originally from NH, still have sisters there.
The best way to get answerers is to post questions, lots of them.
I've found that there will be quick responses and lots of help.
Please don't be shy, it's a lot more fun to participate than simply observe.
I've only been here a few months myself.

Hey - welcome! You could take pictures of your weeds & post 'em on Identification Forum.
Then you can google them for more info (or just ask questions about them.)
