What a nice offer Scooter. Don't know how I missed seeing this. Darn it. lol
Awwww ((minnie)))
I wish I had enough cuttings and energy for all of ya.
Thanks Shirley,
will let you know when they get here.
Looks like I have the hang of it....I was sent some cuttings just recently from some other DG's and they are rooting in water...not ONE rotted yet :-)
I was so afraid to fail and now they're looking good and so hopefully I will continue to do good with yours,
Brigitte
Brigitte, Usually all they need is couple inches of cool clean water in a bright spot
.
I keep all of mine in my cool ( 60° ) winter quarters and they stay there in the jars all winter.
Unless you prefer to pot them up ;-)
I was so "afraid" that they would rott on me because I had read several posts on that...so far so good !!
I change my water every day ,rinse out the Jar and put cool water in it.We have our own well,so no chemicals in the water and that is most likely a good thing :-)
***
I also made little greenhouses out of ziplockbags and startet some cuttings in soil to see how they will do compare to water rooting ?
lost the smallest green one.Now I have "informed "myself that I probably should have startet the green cutting in water and the harder cuttings in soil,
Brigitte
Sometimes ,( but NOT always ) you can tell if a cutting will root easily by just looking at it.
Look closely and you may find little tannish measles , they are pre-lenticles (pre- nubbies).
These are more evident on some brugs than others.
On some they are so evident you can feel them.
Still cuttings without these spots can root but this just gives you something to look for.
ANYTHING to entertain us for the WINTER ....... ;-D

You are so right !
The first thing I do in the morning is go to my seedbox to see if some more of my DL came up over night :-)
Shirley, they arrived safely today :) Thank You..............love them all, have you a photo of your double pink???? I put my drool bucket on already in anticipation LOL
I'll try to find an old photo that maybe survived my hard drive crash.
( ...........Yay, I get to pick up my new camera today !!! It's awful to grow brugs without a camera around that you an count on.)

Hi Shirley,
they arrived safely and in GREAT condition a little while ago. They're already in fresh water.
Now the fun begins to look up all the pictures for reference to start my BRUGMANSIA folder ..YEAAHHH ! I also would love to see if you had a picture of the double pink.
Shirley,You ARE the packer of the packers :-)) ...ladies these cuttings were wrapped so precisely in still wet tissue,Reynolds wrap, newspaper, rubberbands and labeled. It was a joy just to look at the 10 little packages hahaha.
Than You again,
Brigitte
Aw shucks !
*blushes and grinds shoe toe in the dirt *
Har Har Kin, now you don't have to listen to me whining about it ... lol
Now what does this button do , and how do I turn it on and what happens if I slide this thingy ...................
Hey waitta minnit ! ! !
You mean I gotta buy what now ???
Anso the adventure begins ,
but first I gotta get a big memory card and just keep the leedle one for emergencies.
was wondering if my payment got there yet Scooter?? i sent it priority so it should be there today or tommorow will have to go look for reciept.
oh a new camera
okay wanta see all the pics. i got a digi cam last year one of those cheap ones. took it to the fair a week ago
and there was a concert. well the lady there who takes the pic showed me something i didnt know afetr having the thing for over a year. i didnt know you could zoom in on the pics while in the camera.
hehe dontcha just love learning new things. hehe
My old little digi has been put thru the proverbial wringer. Dropped in the rain , left in the garden, forgotten in the car,
jounced around in the saddlebags of my old Harley for thousands of miles from one end of this country to the other. .
It just wasn't worth anymore what the shop charges for repairs plus 90 bucks for starters just to open it up and have a looksee.
So if I take a couple hunnerds off the price of the new cam, I figure I got me a pretty good deal ;-)

Shirley, I just got your package. They look wonderful. What a great packing job. I am off to give them a drink of water. I will send pics.
Have fun with your new camera. I spilled tea over my favorite digi. I still use it but the pics don't print well.
Betty
Just got mine, they are great, I truly appreciate you, and them lol
