Albino sold as variegated

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I found this listing on eBay today. He's trying to sell a cutting as a yellow leafed Brug.

I bought a cutting from this person a while back. I received two very skinny, very green cuttings that haven't done a thing since I received them. They haven't died, but neither have they formed any nubbies. If this illustrates how much he knows about Brugs, I wonder what I bought.

I didn't think a Albino plant would grow??

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

from what i understand they wont grow.

i have also found many albino plants wont grow.

If it does live it will always be a sorry excuse for a brug. They never grow to be strong and healthy.

It would almost be worth buying just to see what it was.
I agree that an albino plant can't live.No chlorophyle.I'm guessing this is an albino branch from a regular varigated.
That happens sometimes.
I have purchased Iochroma a couple of times from this person and received very nice plants.Btw,it's a she(Christine).

bettydee, you didn't happen to buy cuttings from this ebayer that were "yellow split", did you? I "won" an auction from them for 2 of these cuttings and what arrived looked like it had been cut 3 weeks ago. Very dried out and hard, but at the same time rather green and no nubbies. I cut the withered ends off and stuck in water. Not rotting but not rooting either. I'm curious to see if they will survive.
