I have a whole package of Creative Memories "Girl's First Years" stickers that I have never used and I know I will never use. They're stink'n cute though. 16 sticker strips in the package.
There's a stoller, a highchair, a bouncer, little feet, baby food, scissors (for first haircut), little bubbles, rubber duckie, crib, pjs, rattle, little clothes, ribbons, hearts, books, blankies, presents, bears, teether, cake, dolly, cherrios, animal crackers, numbers, musical notes, toys, diaper pins, diapers, baby carrier, diaper bag, some butterflies, little bunny, lamb, bonnet, shoes. Stickers for seeds
My neighbor has a little girl baby due next month! I think she'd love the stickers.
How about those stevia seeds we were discussing (I'll try to germination test them next week), and an assortment of basils (I think I have seed drying for most of these now: Italian Genovese, Thai, Cinnamon, Lemon, Lime, Minette, Fine Verde and Red Rubin). I'm pretty sure I also have Gaillardia & Echinacea seeds too, if you don't mind ones that were collected last year.
When it gets colder & I have to come in from the garden, I'll sort through all the seeds and let you know what else I might have.... or I can just send the above now.
Remember, I still have those seeds waiting for you. Has any of the Jasmine taken root?

Hi critterologist! That sounds good to me. I'm so excited to try the stevia!! I'll just pop the stickers in the mail. I'm not in any kind of a hurry right now, so whenever you get around to it is fine with me.
I think she will too. I bought them hoping to use them in my daughter's scrapbook, but I decided to go with a garden theme instead and just never used them. So I'm glad someone will be able to enjoy them. They're archive quality and photo safe.
Hi NatureWalker! The Jasmine is looking really good. I was waiting for new growth before I checked for roots, so I didn't mess anything up. Do you do it differently?
No, I root most things the same way, unless someone tells me otherwise.
Sometimes I just use plain water with a pinch of sugar thrown in and change the water daily.
Sugar makes trees and shrubs root faster... I don't know why.... especially when planting them in their permanant location. It's just something I once read on the net. I used this method to take some plant pieces from down in NY city to up here. They started rooting in 24 hours.
These here: Bigleaf French Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla) http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/146/index.html

Huh. I just followed the directions on the package of rooting hormone I have. I'll keep that in mind though.
I recall a lady I knew growing up who managed to get her Christmas tree to root in its stand. She kept it up all year round and it grew new buds that spring. She watered it with sugar water too.
The Jasmine is stuck in seedling mix, so I can't see new roots. I decided to wait for new growth before I yanked them out. But they look very happy. No wilting or browning going on. My only concern is that we are now into our long sunnless winter. Countdown to cabin fever. All of my houseplants do poorly this time of year. So I hope that doesn't affect the Jasmine.
Would you like me to send you some fresh cuttings while we wait for these to decided if they want to root or not?
Robin,
To me, the sugar makes perfect sense - it's food, after all. I used to do that years ago but without the changing water daily part - what a stinky mess! Then I gave up and worked on babies instead. Equally stinky, but in a nice way! ;-)
