CLOSED: HAVE: Haworthias, Gasterias, Other Succulents

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I'm trying to fit 100's of succulents in my house for the winter. But I just have too many. Would anyone be interested in trading for some of these succulents. I WILL NOT MAIL THESE FOR POSTAGE. Many of these are rare and expensive, not common Walmart succulents. I'm afraid I don't know the names of all of them, but I have haworthias, gasterias, euphorbias, 2 different kinds of mother of millions, and a bunch of stuff that I don't even have a clue what they could be.

In trade, I'm looking for exotic named daylilies or elephant ears that I don't have. I have quite a collection of them, so you can be sure I already have all the common ones.

I would also consider newer gardening books, particularly on landscape design, theme gardens, and water gardens.

I'm also looking for nursery business software if you have some you've outgrown.

I could also be talked into trading for some nice DVDs in the comedy, romance, drama and psycho thriller categories. I'm not into action or horror.

I am looking to do large trades, consisting of several plants, movies or books. I won't trade for just one. I like to get the most of my postage and time. I can send several different succulents in one trade and I will label them with exact name if I know it, but on most I don't. Some plants will be rooted and others may be cuttings. But in most cases, they will be rooted, as many of these have made an abundance of babies.

Here are a couple of pictures of what I'm dealing with. I've already given all the "pricklies" away. I don't like thorny cacti so a nearby friend came and took home a wheelbarrow full of cacti and succulents. But still I'm left with more succulents than I have house! LOL

Anyone wanna trade?

Some of the haworthias and gasterias are even black! They look so cool.

Does your package deal include any sansevierias?

I did not see any gasterias or haworthias in your pictures. I did see some plants that looked like euphorbias, aloes, kalanchoes, cacti, pachypodiums, and sedums. Are you able to send pictures of just the haworthias and gasterias by themselves?

Would you select the plants yourself, or would a person be able to request certain things they wanted to receive?

No sanseverias. I have only a limited number of those. Right now Idon't have time to take individual pictures. If someone is offering a trade I'm really interested in, I suppose I could take pictures and allow the person to choose, but I'd rather just do one or two boxes of any excess succulents I have. I have many kinds of haworthias and a few gasterias. The rest are just a mystery to me.

If I don't get the right trade, I may just keep them all and spend the winter researching to see just what I have. I do know most are not common plants, but I do understand that some of you are collectors and dont' want to trade for something you already have.

The amount of effort I'm willing to put into this will be determined by what I'm offered I suppose. I'm not looking for more succulents in exchange as I do not have the room. I'm primarily interested in daylilies and ee's that I don't have.

Thanks for your interest, Cicada.

Some of the other plants I know are in this offer are ghost plant, burrow's tail, and cuttings from Starfish plant. Those are probably the most common succulents in the bunch, which is why I know they're names. I only know the names of the others if they were labeled when I got them.

I also see a gray-blue leafed echeveria I can take a cutting from. There may be other echeverias too. I'm just not sure what all these are.

Each succulent will be bagged separately and labeled if I know its name.

I've gathered up most of the succulents I have for trade. These will all go to one person who offers me the perfect trade. I've potted them all up and snapped pics of the bulk of them so you can see what you're getting. They're small, but they're also not common. So this would be a great deal for a collector.

In this batch, there are:

euphorbias
2 sanseverias (both are dwarf and one has scalloped leaves when it's mature)
several haworthias (including dark leaved ones)
a few gasterias (including a black one)
burrow's tail
ghost plant
starfish plant
orchid cactus
2 kinds of mother of millions
a gray barrel looking cactus
aloes
jade
echeveria
and things I don't even know

Hey Anna, you probably saw my post a couple months ago when I came home with all these succulents a friend gave me. I honestly don't know what I was thinking! I drove 4 hrs to get a whole vanload of plants. And now I have to try to fit them in the house. LOL

I just saw a post on the succulent forum and they were showing their strawberry pots stuffed full of succulents. I have about 10 strawberry pots--sitting on a shelf. My friend Gail remarked that I bought them and never used them. I think I've just found their purpose. LOL

But still I must trade a few off. There are just tooooooo many! And of course what I keep will continue to multiply. So yep, this might be a yearly thing. LOL

Vicki, I didn't see anything in your list that I'd like, but I do have extras of some of the succulents that I can send with our other trade. I plan to pack up your stuff tomorrow and mail on Tues.

So this entire collection is still available. I'd really prefer to trade for exotic daylilies or ee's, if anyone is interested.

Anyone have any daylilies to trade for this pot full of succulents? If not, I'll stuff them into some strawberry jars and keep 'em til my brother in Phoenix gets here in January.

Looks like these succulents are going into a big strawberry pot. Maybe I'll have better luck trading them next year.
