Brenda,

Did you want to trade? You also mentioned in the first posts that you might have some other items, did you find any more? Might as well make this a plentiful trade while we are sending these.

Hello everybody, it's me! Carrie.
I am a total novice seed grower - I usually just buy whatever perennials are marked down at HD. But it's finally dawned on me that it would be SO much cheaper to grow things from seed. So far I've grown easy things like sweet peas and nastursiums. When I see things like zinnias - which I've paid for, every year - and dark blue sweet peas - which I've never even HEARD of - then I feell compelled to write and say I will send anyone a SASE or SBE for anything easy to grow.
Thanks ever.
xx Carrie

Center, TX(Zone 8b)

Lily, I still have some of the candy cane left if you would like those.
Carrie, You can send me a SASBE and I will send you some easy growers. Zinnias are very easy to grow from seeds. I just started trying to grow things from seeds last year and don't always have success. It's alot easier than buying plants but you have to be patient. Most perenials don't flower the first year. However DG is the place to get help. This is the best gardening site ever! All the people here are a great help.

Hi Brenda,

Just wanted to let you know that I received your seeds today. You were very generous and I thank you very much.

I am really excited to grow out the Esperanza. Do you have any tips on how to plant them?

I hope you have received my seeds too.

Thanks again,
Donna

Center, TX(Zone 8b)

Donna got your seeds yesterday. Thanks for the trade! Last year I started some of the Esperanza seeds, covered them about a 1/4 inch and kept them moist. They sprouted in about 10 days. I would go ahead and start them now however I'm not sure you'll see flowers the first year.

Also received seeds from seedsower, moretz, and luvsgrtdanes. Ronnie I mailed your seeds yesterday.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the growing info Brenda. I'm not worried about having blooms the first year, I just want to be able to see them actually sprout. lol
