Have 'Little Princess' species tulips, would like to trade

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I ordered some species tulips last fall, and when they bloomed I discovered they had been misidentified and are actually 'Little Princess'. The orange flowers are just completely wrong for my bed, so the supplier is replacing them but didn't want them returned. I have about 40 bulbs that I dug after they had finished blooming. I waited to dig until the foliage died back, and I waited just a few days too long, so I know I didn't get them all... I'll have more early next summer!

I'd like to trade for other species tulips such as saxitilus or waterlily tulips or for miniature yellow daffodils. I'd also swap them for a mess of grape hyacinth bulbs, as I could use some around my daff bed in back.

Or... make me an offer! Except for daffs, I'm generally more fond of purple / maroon / magenta / pink flowers, and I'm not really interested in gold / peach / coral / orange. My yard has mostly full sun.

Here's a picture. They are said to be good naturalizers, even in southern gardens. Mine certainly did multiply... I found 3 or 4 bulbs in spots where I had planted 1! (That's why I'm really sure that there are lots more that will pop up in spring... I planted 60 and dug 60 up, but there are probably another 100 still in there!).

Hi there. Little Princess is one I've had my eye on and been wanting to try. I have tons of the little, early blooming yellow trumpet daffs (that you often see naturalized at old home sites). I dug those in late July for someone for postage, but never heard any more from them. I also have Trillium grandiflorum that is a nice companion to spring bulbs, as well as Primula vulgaris (red with yellow eye). I also have some 'Minnow' miniature daffs I could spare a few of. Thanks, Neal.

Neal, they are yours! I'm glad you want them!

I'll put them in the mail right away. The mini yellow trumpet daffs sound great! I love daffs! I had a couple of 'Minnow' daffs bloom last spring, and they were just adorable.

For anyone else who's been looking for them and must have them *now*, Aaron has 'Little Princess' this year at his eBay store, Rare Bulbs and Plants. I was very pleased with my transactions with him last fall, despite the mixup (which was most likely an error on the part of his supplier). He's sending me replacement bulbs (I wanted 'Little Beauty'), and I'm ordering a bunch of other bulbs from him again this year too.

Neal, I'd like to fill the rest of your little box... could you use a few Naked Lady bulbs? I got a generous box from a DGer in CA, and I can spare some small/med ones, but didn't want to surprise you with something you didn't want or couldn't use.

Cool! They're yours! I already have naked ladies out the wazoo (if they're Lycoris), but these daffs need a home. Will dmail you. Thanks! Neal.
