David - are those thermometers by the plants? Karen

Tremont, IL(Zone 5b)

What do you use to heat that room? It is an amazing collections of hoya. You obviously have a green thumb & have created the right conditions for them.

Dennisport, MA(Zone 5a)

Yes ...1 is a hygrometer measures the humidity..where I try and keep at 60%. and the other the thermometer which I try and keep temp. at 70 deg. I also never keep saucers under my hanging pots.I belive you get better air flow threw the soil....at times i will push a wire up into the bottom of the pot makeing sure roots are well aireated.

1 comment sorry to say,I hate white hanging pots,I think it takes away from the plants. question?
do any of you see white plants?

Trelleborg, Sweden

Not sure I'm with you here... What's wrong with white hanging pots? What do they take away from the plants? And what do you mean when you ask if anyone sees any white plants?

I just think green pots are more natural.

Campbell River, BC(Zone 8a)

I also like the green pots better. I think they look nicer and I read that they keep the roots warmer too becaues white reflects light.

Los Angeles, CA(Zone 9a)

I like green hanging pots, but you can't find any that are 4". If you have any suggestions, I'm game!

I really enjoy your pictures. You have done a great job of displaying your hoyas and also maintaining a lot of them in a relatively small space. I like your lighting ideas.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Heather...I have some small green hanging pots and a 4" pot fits very nicely inside of it. I will try to find out where they are from....

Awesome Carol!! Let me know!

Well, we definitely all have different opinions on things but that's what makes the world go round :-)

I love those 4.5 white hanging pots and think they look good with the dark green hoya leaves.

I would love to find 4' or 4.5" green pots as well! Carol, please do share your source! I really do believe my Hoyas like dark pots better than white. Then again, to each his own.

Prescott, AZ

I like the white hanging pots too. my var. plants look so nice in them. I think it is a nice contrast between the green and white. Now they just need to make a nice 5 inch size so we can pot up correctly!!!

Huntsville, AL(Zone 7a)

I would also like to find a source for the small green hanging pots. Haven't had any luck trying to goggle them. All the 4" or 4.5" green pots I've located are non-hanging varieties with no lips to drill for hangers (or saucers). If anyone finds anything, holler!!

I looked at the website, but only saw plants offered. Do you have to call them to find out what they have?

Dennisport, MA(Zone 5a)

Yes call them and ask for hanging pots. ..the pots they sell are only green. Yours truly David!!

Los Angeles, CA(Zone 9a)

Anyone else tried calling them? I called them today, and they said they didn't sell pots only. Only sell plants, with the pot. Weird. Is there some code word I should have used? Lol..

I wrote them an email asking about pots for sale, and this is the answer I got from them:

"Marcy: I'm sorry, we only sell the potted plants. In our retail office, we do sell standard clay pots, but we don't ship them out. We do sell baskets with some of our holiday-sized plants, but the baskets don't get sold alone. I'd call local greenhouses in my area, or even go to WalMart, to see what's available."

Oh David, thanks for the offer, but I thought they had 4" green ones. I can find 6". Thanks again for the suggestion, maybe they changed their policy.
