Seeking: Crown Of Thorns

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Last winter I went to HD and found this neat looking houseplant. It wasn't in bloom but the leaves were attractive and I liked the Thorns it had on it.

It blooms quite often (just going by now) and I have decided that I LOVE it. It doesn't grow real fast here in Maine. I have seen pictures of it HUGE in Florida.

As I research them I'm finding that I have become addicted to acquiring them *lol*. I just purchased a pink one and a yellow one on E-Bay and can't wait for them to arrive. I have 2 pink ones coming and a small yellow baby. Mine from HD is a pretty salmon colored one. Sometimes it gives me double blooms (a bloom inside a bloom).

I would LOVE to trade with someone who might have some Thai Hybrids or broken colored flowering ones. I don't have alot to offer but would send one of my pinks and a baby from the salmon one in the picture attached.

I also have an extra beaded hanger (see beaded hanger #4 on webpage) which is made with beautiful Lifesaver colored beads. Pictures don't do these hangers justice. I just made 2 of them for a friend who wanted 2 more and I have another friend who traded me for one and just wrote and asked for one in her kitchen colors. This particular hanger has 9 brass hummingbirds and a cute glass fish drop tassle.

You can kind of see how pretty these are when hung together. They truly "beautify" any green plant!

I have 10 of them in my house and they can be hung outside also!

You should try posting this in the cactus and succulent forum too.

That's a good idea too *lol*. I had just posted pictures of my Epi and forgot to leave the forum for my new post.

Kim,

I have the large hybrid white blooming one that I will gladly send you a couple of pieces. They are easily rooted just stick them in a pot of soil water well and they will root. Send me a d-mail with address info.
