Yippeee Skippeeee.
I was rearranging my window (making room for my new babies from Carol) and found buds forming on my walliniana (that I got from Carol not too long ago...). I can't believe it! It's late October (in dreary Eugene, OR) and it is forming buds!!! I am so darned excited, and, well, I needed to share.
Here is a picture (cross your fingers and hope they don't blast!).
Buds on my H. walliniana
Ann fingers are crossed :-). That is way too kewl, I hope you get flowas!
Blessings,
Awanda
WOW...congrats Ann. You must be doing something right. It looks HAPPY. That's one I don't even have. :-( .........yet!

I'm impressed! Ü I've got a couple (not the above;) whose penducles just sit frozen in time. :(
I'm interlibrary loaning a couple of really old articles (one written by C. Burton) on how to take care of these beauties (AND how to get them to bloom). Doubt if I'll be as lucky as many here but hope I can glean a trick or two out of them.

Good job, Ann. H. walliniana is one of those 'floozy' hoyas like H. lacunosa...just blooms and blooms...
:>)
Thanks! I will update as it (hopefully) progresses.
Hey, Lilypon. Will you forward the info you get from those articles to us on this forum?
Way to go Ann! I looked it up.....it's got gorgeous little flowers.

I will Miss Kitty......I'm pretty sure the experts here have shared any information it may contain but there could be something I've missed while following the threads here. I was really surprised to note that the article Ms. Burton wrote was back in the early 1990's.

Congrats Ann! Can't wait to see the flowers once she blooms! Such a good hoya mommy!

Cool beans Ann! There is nothing better than moving Hoyas around and discovering flower buds. Congratulations!
Oh Ann! COOOOOL! Nuthing like finding a little surprise, huh?
I have NO IDEA what that hoya looks like so I'll follow along closely.
Post more pics! Congrats!
