As she has become a staple for great plants here at Tropicals and many here have dealt w/ her...............

After Hurricane Wilma has gone through, we find ourselves steamrolled over. We are OK, but most all of the plants and shadehouses have been smashed. Every tree on our property is down or at least broken in half. We may not have power in our area for a month. Luckily we have a generator, and I am able to get online sporadically. We won't be able to ship any orders until further notice.

oh no! I had communicated with her the day before Wilma. She didn't sound terribly worried so all this damage might be more than they ever expected.if you communicate w/ her again, pls convey my best wishes for a quick & smooth recovery.

She usually posts in Aroid-l and is a wheel at Aroid.org.

What is Aroid-I?
Talked to Enid last night. It did not sound good she said somethings were OK but a lot of damage and that it will take her sometime to get it cleaned up and actually see what all had gotten whipped out. Her dog and chickens are fine and though it sounded bad. Her and Sam sounded fine. My last trip down a few months ago they had just recovered from a hurricane hit and were finally getting things back in order. Now another hit has knocked things back a bit more. She is off line and I doubt she could respond to the waves of emails being sent anyways. They said the phones don't work much in the day time hours. Also some other good friends and collectors were hit. Dewey fisk tropical world and I hear Ron Weeks and possible Silver Krome may have been hit pretty hard.
Whoa the cream of the Florida Aroiders all in the space of a few hours.
That's a tough thing to happen.

Oh you must be sick about losing your photos Holly! Such an incredible trip.
What a shame the hurricane did such damage to everyone. I am planning on lots of things from Enid come spring!

Cocoa Beach is further North, just about due east of Orlando..
