Begonia Junkie looking for an Epi fix.

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Hi Epi fans. While I generally try to stick to what I know best (that being begonias) I have recently found myself drooling over Epi's. It all started with one Ric Rac cactus and then decided that I better investigate this plant family further. It wasn't long before I had one called 'Chrysocardium' (?) which looks like an exagerated Ric Rac. So I turned to eBay and found some folks selling great lots of cuttings with 20 or so different varieties in one lot. The bidding was fierce and sadly, I had to quit while I was ahead (or before DH saw how much I was willing to fork over to feed the addiction!) I'm looking for any one willing to share a cutting or two so that I can begin a 'real' collection and still be able to pay the mortgage!

So dear DG friends, I turn to you. Are there any of you with an extra cutting to share for postage? I don't know if Rhipsalis is included in this group, but I love those too. So far, I havn't killed them!
Any culture info would be much appreciated too! I havn't wintered over the Ric Rac or Chrysocardium (is that the real name?) so any tips, let me know! (like when do they bloom?)

Thanks generous DG folks! Have a GREAT day!

Hey, begoniacrazii, and a Belated Welcome to DG.

I only have 2 mature epies and I plan to move in January temporarily with a DG friend in central Florida. Naturally my epies (including about 15 cuttings) will go with me. Maybe by spring I will have cuttings of QOTN and a red epi available. Have taken too many cuttings this summer!

Meanwhile, you might try http://www.epies.net/ for cuttings...

Well Lali,

Interested in an epi cutting for a begonia cutting?

I have E. "Grace Ann" a pink flowering variety that I can take a couple of cutting of for you if you like.

Let me know,
Mary Ev.
