This is the result of my first Brugmansia... It won't be my last. I am going to try and winter this one indoors. As I am a newbie any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Anna
My first attemped at growing a Brugmansia
you did great i have been trying 2 years now.. really nice..

You did a lovely job! Those flowers look like they are a very soft yellow.. are they? gorgeous!
Hi Anna. It is so pretty. I can't give you much overwintering advice. My problem here is more of rot for the winter is our rainy season. I bet you do just great thoguh. GOOD LUCK.
Anna, Welcome !!! Great job!!! Very pretty.
Anna, Looks like you are doing pretty good for a newbie! I never got any blooms my first year! I'm in Z-7 I'm just letting mine go dormant, (let them get cool enough to drop all their leaves, without getting them frost bitten) Then put them somewhere dark & that won't freeze. My first year I kept them in a warm & lit green house, they limped along until spring, what a pain though. This year they are being let go dormant. They are in a un-heated GH & as soon as the temps drop down into the freezing zone outside, it will be in the mid 30s inside, I imagine they will shed their leaves quite rapidly. They are already starting to lose leaves daily. I also have 4 still out side & we haven't had frost yet but it has been pretty close several mornings. The 4 outsiade are also having leaves drop every day.
I thought I'd see what the difference would be inside to outside, plus, 2 of them are actually staying in the ground mulched heavily & covered to see if they come back next spring. I did take the tops off so I actually still have these plants just in case! I love playing with these plants! Keep up the good work! Bj
Anna your looking good, all I can tell you is last year I was so green about these Brugs, but I am learning fast, one thing I can tell you is when I bring mine in for the winter I remove all the large leaves, gives them more energy for the plant, and takes less room, and then start watching for the pesky Gnats.

Thank you everyone. Bj and Kareoke for the advice. I have just the right place to store them over the winter.. I have a very large cold room that is dark but does not freeze... should I water them a little over the winter?
Anna
Hi Anna. Welcome to the Brug addiction. If you let your Brugs go dormant, water them very sparingly.
