There seems to be some confusion in my area on the name of this
Philo. I got mine from a mail order nursery decades ago, labelled
P. domesticum variegata. In the last few years, members of the Intn'l
Aroid Society selling at botanic garden sales at Tampa and Sarasota
are calling it P. ilsemannii, and they confirmed this name when I asked about it. However, a picture in my Tropica of ilsemannii does not match this plant.

Leaves on my plants are over 2 feet long. The white and cream variegation will fade to a greenish color as the leaf ages, and the
glossy surface will also fade to a dull, matte finish. Still, a very attractive Philodendron.

Brian W-- what is the name on this plant in your collection?????

You are right their are some confusion on this plant. I personally believe its subhastatum variegata. I have seen it labled Imbe for years but the species Imbe looks totally different. I have also seen islemannii on this plant. I know the plant in exotic and tropica are not the same as this but I am not sure if they are the right ID. It seems imbe and islemannii have been thrown around alot on these two plants.
